Buster: Marie Todd

Beinn na Lap, 21st September 2024

Buster has led a very active life including some small hills and long trail walks, but meeting with some like minded friends at Slimming World (Buster attended as the mascot), led to us starting our Munro climbing journey in 2018. Buster was 7 years old at this point. Ben Lomond was the first and Buster loved every minute of it. As the Munros were ticked off camping, cycling, and sailing were involved to gain access to those further away. We climbed all year round and only driving wind and rain bothered Buster but what else is a rucksack for but shelter from undesirable weather?

We were fortunate to meet up with a fellow bagging dogs - Meg and Milo and we joined Glen on his completion on Mull. Buster was often joined by our other dogs Nevis, Lomond, and Cooper.

The real test on his journey was the Skye Munros. A special harness and rucksack were required to keep him safe and a big thanks to Adrian Trendall and Neil Kerr for their excellent guidance and assistance on the Cuillin.

Buster’s final Munro was Beinn na Lap on the 21st September 2024 where we were joined by many 2 and 4 legged friends. Buster has retired from the Munros now as he is getting older (13) but still manages a Corbett or Graham now and again.
