It was whilst working that I first encountered Misgeach and it was love at first sight. She was in a garden, tethered to a hand rail with a piece of wet carpet to lie on. A middle aged couple had taken her on, but both had demanding jobs and had no idea that a Border Collie is a very demanding breed. A toy breed would have been more their cup of tea. After much toing and froing, I managed to secure her just prior to Christmas 1988 and so began a relationship that would endure for 15 years. For the last 8 of these she was my only dog.
She was a hardy dog, she knew the house was out of bounds, but she also harboured the notion that a lochan was something that a dog swam in even if it meant breaking the ice.
