Update following AGM at the Birnam Institute 18th April 2009

Committee Changes.
The honorary secretary Eleanore Hunter and committee member Findlay Swinton stood down after serving their full term while Angus Campbell relinquished his role as webmaster. The Meeting acknowledged the considerable contribution made by these members over the years.

Peter and Findlay's positions on the committee have been taken by John Donohoe and William Wheeler.

Subscription Increase
The honorary treasurer proposed an increase in subscriptions to £20 and this was accepted after some discussion. It was explained that the subscription had remained constant for several years and the Society was now producing an additional newsletter each year for members. There were other anticipated costs concerned with heightings and the publication of the MQI report and an element for working capital was required.

The Munro Society Annual Lecture
An inspirational lecture on 'the spirit of wild land' was given by Cameron McNeish in the evening following the AGM.
